Best Part of My Job:
Taking the time to explain to my clients what is going on with their pet. Having to show up with your little one in the ER can be scary. I’m always glad to spend time with pet parents who crave a bit more explanation to understand their pet’s condition.
Special Talent:
I am in my element treating emergent cases like anaphylactic shock and other critical cases. Being able to stabilize my patients so they can go home with their family is the best reward ever. I’m also great at locating bee stingers!
One Thing People May Not Know About Me:
My husband and I are redefining ‘do-it-yourself’ having renovated our entire home ourselves. We have learned to install tile, drywall, kitchen cabinets– pretty much everything.
Proof That I’m An Animal Lover:
I’ve had over 50 pets at various times in my life – ducks, pigeons, rabbits, koi, tortoises, a cockateel, a love bird, turtles (red eared sliders), tree frogs, desert tortoises, a pregnant mouse, and a lizard that my dad found in his shower at work, as well as some wonderful dogs and cats.
My Pet Family Includes:
I have a crazy mutt from Mexico who I adore! I also have a special place in my heart for long haired dachshunds.
