Best Part of My Job:

I love making pets well, and my partnership with pet parents is vital to helping their pets. I understand that bringing a pet to the ER can be scary. Working together as a team can help put everyone at ease, and also ensure we get comprehensive histories from the person that knows them the best. I pride myself on making the experience as least stressful as possible while explaining what’s going on in a way that can be easily understood and is not overwhelming.

Special Talent:

As an ER doctor I never know what types of cases I will see, and I have to be ready for anything. I see each patient as a problem to solve and my job is to piece together information from a variety of sources to help heal that pet. Pet parents offer a wealth of information and clues since they know their pet the best. I realize how valuable this information is and always focus on drawing out those most important clues from pet parents.

One Thing People May Not Know About Me:

I was a veterinary technician for many years before vet school. And, I love vintage cars…especially Volkswagens! Just bought a 1986 VW Cabriolet to relive my teenage years.

What You’ll Find Me Doing in My Free Time:

When not at work, you can find me at the beach with my German shorthair pointer rescue from Mexico, Vita, or at the gym lifting weights.
