Best Part of My Job:
Doing my best to fix my patients and get them back to health. Surgical therapies can be scary to think about, however I enjoy working with pet parents and my doctor colleagues, as a team, to weigh the pros and cons of surgery. Knowledge is power, and I do my best to help pet parents make an educated decision for their pets. A chance to intervene is a chance to recover and heal.
Special Talent:
I have a special affinity for reconstructive, minimally invasive surgeries, cranial cruciate ligament (ACL) repairs (TPLO/Lateral Suture), patellar luxation repairs, and maxillofacial surgeries. I have always had a passion for anatomy and all of the ways that you can treat disease using a patient’s own anatomy to do so.
One Thing People May Not Know About Me:
I used to dress up as Santa Claus for a dog and cat rescue that I helped run for 5 years during my undergraduate career. Every Saturday during winter time, I would dress up and pose for photos with pets for Santa Paws in order to raise money for our rescue.
What You’ll Find Me Doing in My Free Time:
I recharge and ground myself out in nature, whether that is on a hike in the mountains and hills or out in the ocean. I also enjoy gardening, cooking, photography, and archery.
My Pet Family Includes:
A French bulldog named Petunia, and my exotic short hair cat named Hognut.
